
Dr Hussam Ghalib
Dr. Hussam Ghalib, MD, is the Medical Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support and Director of the Cardiomyopathy Center at the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
He is a Consultant Cardiologist within the Section of Heart Failure & Transplant, and a Core Faculty Member within the Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship within the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine.
Dr Hussam is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, USA.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Ghalib was at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center, where he specialised in Cardiovascular Medicine and Advanced Heart Failure Management.
Dr. Ghalib received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. He then served on faculty in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Hospital for two years before completing a Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship at UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, California.
