
Dr Ryan Rivosecchi
Dr. Ryan M. Rivosecchi, PharmD, BCCCP is a Board-Certified Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist specializing in cardiothoracic intensive care at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He has extensive experience in ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation), anticoagulation strategies, and pharmacotherapy in critically ill and transplant patients.
Dr. Rivosecchi has held multiple leadership roles at UPMC, including Supervisor of Cardiology, Transplant, and Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy, and Lead Pharmacist for Quality Improvement and Research. He completed both his pharmacy practice and critical care residencies at UPMC and earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
A prolific researcher and speaker, Dr. Rivosecchi has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications focused on mechanical circulatory support, antifungal therapies in transplant recipients, and sedation practices in ICU patients. He is an active contributor to national conferences and institutional guidelines and plays a key role in ECMO education through the Procirca Comprehensive Adult ECMO Training Course.
