Mauro Ariel Castro Sayat
Mauro Castro Sayat is a cardio-respiratory kinesiologist with over a decade of dedicated experience in critical care and respiratory medicine across emergency departments, intensive care units, and intermediate respiratory care units. He trained as a Specialist in Cardio-Respiratory Kinesiology at Universidad Favaloro in Argentina and has since focused his career on acute respiratory failure, non-invasive ventilatory support, and critical care ultrasonography.
He currently coordinates the Emergency and Non-Invasive Ventilatory Support Unit at Hospital Juan A. Fernández in Buenos Aires, where he leads clinical and organizational aspects of acute respiratory care, including implementation of NIV strategies, monitoring, and multidisciplinary collaboration for critically ill patients.
Mauro is an active member of the Critical Patient Ultrasound Committee of the Argentine Society of Intensive Care (SATI), the Sleep, Oxygen Therapy, and Ventilatory Support Section of the Argentine Association of Respiratory Medicine (AAMR), and the Argentine Society of Cardio-Respiratory Kinesiology (SAKiCaRe). His work involves integrating ultrasound, advanced monitoring, and evidence-based ventilatory support into everyday practice.
He maintains an active academic profile through ResearchGate and ORCID, contributing to the growing field of cardio-respiratory kinesiology and critical care.
