Dr Juan Martin

Director of the Advanced Monitoring of the Mechanical ventilation of the Italian Hospital.

Dr. Juan Martín, MD, is a physician specialized in Critical Care Medicine, with a strong academic foundation in Kinesiology and Fysiatry and advanced training in university-level medical education. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of the Hospital Italiano, where he integrates clinical research with bedside practice in intensive care.

Dr. Martín serves as the Director of the Advanced Monitoring in Mechanical Ventilation Program at the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, and is a lead instructor in the institution’s Virtual Course on Patient–Ventilator Asynchronies. He is also a Professor in the Master’s Degree Program in Cardiorespiratory Care at the University of Gran Rosario, contributing to the development of future specialists in respiratory and critical care.

A certified Critical Care Specialist by the Argentine Society of Intensive Care (SATI), Dr. Martín is an active member of multiple scientific and professional committees, including:
• Chapter of Kinesiology and Critical Pulmonology (SATI)
• SATI Critical Ultrasound Committee
• PLUG Working Group (focused on mechanical ventilation and respiratory monitoring)

He is a permanent Intensive Care staff physician at the Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, where he provides comprehensive care to critically ill patients and participates in clinical innovation projects related to respiratory physiology, mechanical ventilation, patient–ventilator interaction, and advanced monitoring.

Through his work in education, clinical care, and research, Dr. Martín is recognized for his contributions to advancing the science and practice of critical care, both in Argentina and internationally.
