Dr. Amr Hashem Mohamed is a highly accomplished Consultant in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, he has a special interest in mechanical circulatory support (MCS), heart and lung transplantation, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) in cardiac surgery, and adult congenital cardiac surgery.

Education and Qualifications
• 2023 – Awarded the EACVI Certification Diploma in Adult Transoesophageal Echocardiography (TOE)
• 2021 – Earned the European Diploma in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (EDAIC)
• 2010 – Completed MD/PhD in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Alexandria University, Egypt
• 2003 – Obtained a Master’s Degree in Anaesthesia and Surgical ICU, Alexandria University, Egypt
• 1998 – Graduated with a Medical Degree (MBBCh), Alexandria University, Egypt

He has received multiple awards in recognition of his academic contributions and is frequently invited as a guest speaker at both local and global events.
