Mentoring an EDEC candidate is a clinical and educational practice aiming at deepening understanding of structured echo training and assessment, and strengthens the ability to support candidates in developing high-quality, clinically relevant echocardiography skills. This experience also aligns with career progression to EDEC certified medical professional.

A mentor will be assigned within 2-4 weeks from Mentorship fees payment

Duration:

One year contract between

1- 1st party: Mentee/trainee

2-2nd party: Mentor/Supervisor/Trainer

3- 3rd party: Saving lives Academy

 

Description of Activity:

Mentorship activity is part of preparation for the European Diploma in Echocardiography (EDEC) programme. This included supervising and supporting a candidate through their EDEC logbook, providing feedback on image acquisition, interpretation, and case selection. Regular discussions took place on echocardiographic principles, pathology recognition, and clinical integration, aligned with the EDEC curriculum and competency framework.
